A Stranger Death is a self-portrait series that portrays scenes of death in seemingly innocent and mundane places. Several locations are frequently visited by children, and one image even includes their blurred figures as they play around the corpse. The word ‘stranger’ in the title reflects the strangeness of dead bodies being in these spaces, as well as the subtle hint of a stranger/ killer in some images.
Although there is no direct storyline, elements of each photo tie it to the next. A common object in many of the scenes is the white cloth that serves different functions with relation to the body.
