Leo Quirk is a bassoonist and photographer from Ithaca, New York. Quirk recently graduated with bachelor’s degrees in music and photography from Indiana University and is an alumnus of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the IES Vienna study abroad program. Previous summers have been spent performing in opera festivals in Mexico and the Czech Republic, studying photography in Japan, interning at Interlochen Center for the Arts, and studying with Marianne Ploger at the Blair School of Music, with whom Quirk now studies as well. Upcoming is a self-published book of the project Transcendence with support from IU foundations – Hutton Honors College, LGBTQ+ Cultural Center, and LGBTQ+ Alumni Association – to donate 150 copies to LGBTQ+ libraries and cultural centers around the country.
